We Built a Tool to Review Search Terms Faster. Now You Can Use It Too.

If you manage Google Ads at any scale, you already know the drill. Search term reports pile up, irrelevant queries slip through, and before long you’re burning budget on clicks that were never going to convert. It’s one of those tasks that’s critical but tedious, and it’s easy to let it slide when there are campaigns to build and clients to manage.

That’s exactly why we built AutoSQR.

Why we built it

At Walter Analytics, search term reviews are a core part of how we manage campaigns for our clients. We take them seriously because they directly impact performance. But the process was always the same: export the report, scan hundreds (sometimes thousands) of terms, make judgment calls on each one, and then build out negative keyword lists from there.

It works, but it’s slow. And when you’re doing it across multiple accounts on a regular schedule, the hours add up quickly.

We wanted something that could handle the heavy lifting, so we could focus on the decisions that actually matter. So we built AutoSQR as an internal tool to speed up the process. Once we saw how well it worked for us, we decided to open it up.

What it does

AutoSQR uses context-aware AI to review search terms and classify them into five categories: Relevant, Irrelevant, Competitor, Brand, and Review. Each classification comes with a confidence score and a brief explanation of why the term was categorised that way.

You upload your search term data, provide some context about the business and what it offers, and AutoSQR works through the list. When it’s done, you can export a clean negative keyword list that’s ready to apply. If it gets something wrong, you can correct it, and the platform learns from those corrections over time.

It’s not trying to replace your judgment. It’s trying to save you from the repetitive part so you can spend your time on strategy instead of spreadsheets.

How we use it for our clients

For our managed clients, AutoSQR has become part of our regular optimisation workflow. We run search term reviews on a set schedule, and what used to take a couple of hours per account now takes a fraction of that time.

The real value isn’t just speed. It’s consistency. When you’re reviewing thousands of terms manually, it’s easy to miss things or make inconsistent calls depending on when you’re doing the work. AutoSQR applies the same logic every time, and the review classification means anything it’s unsure about gets flagged for a human to check.

We still review the output. It’s a tool, not autopilot. But it’s dramatically reduced the grunt work and freed up time we can spend on higher-value work for our clients.

Give it a try

We’re offering 1,000 free credits so you can test it out on your own accounts. That’s enough to review a solid batch of search terms and see whether it fits into your workflow.

No commitment, no sales pitch. We built this because it solved a real problem for us, and we think it can do the same for other advertisers and agencies managing Google Ads.
